Cat spankings???

This might sound weird, but Lola LIKES to be spanked.....on her back against her tail. I do it to her and she purrs like a maniac. As she's gotten bigger, I've been tapping her harder and she's totally into it. She's a crazy S&M cat .

So, do any of your cats like spankings? Or some other WEIRD petting ritual?

Felicity and Lily like to be patted on their flank near the tail. It doesn't make them purr - but they do like it.

Tippy has a bit of a baggy belly and she likes to be held like a baby and to have her baggy belly patted

Tango is the same way! But after patting her belly you have to stretch her legs all the way up and then down a few times.

wow! What it is to be a cat. They certainly have us right where they want us

Saba loves fanny-swats, I call it. She just goes nuts, and purs like a lawnmover. Just hard enough for her to feel the pressure, never enough for any discomfort.

I started just lightly tapping, but I actually give her some pretty hard swats now. I would NEVER hurt her, but she LOVES it so much. I've even knocked her over before, though when she's in her purring mode, she's NOT too steady on her feet

Tucker likes it-if he is laying down he will stick his butt up in the air. He will tell me when he has had enough, though.

Mine love it as well. It started with Snoopy. He just went wild for his butt pats. He'd purr and slobber with joy. Simba loves them, and Shane seems to like them as well, though not as much as the others. When I was petting my new little girl, Evie I could see that she was into it as well, although with her, I made them nice and gentle, compared to what the others get.

Mine like them done to a sort of stacatto beat.

Ivo likes what I call "tail twomps"-firm pats at the base of her tail. She also likes "feet" up and down her spine. We start with butterfly feet (soft taps) and move to kitty feet (a little harder) and end with elephant feet (massaging her spine). By the time we reach elephant feet she's fully relaxed and purring.

Conner loves his swats. I pat him pretty hard, flat handed on the side of his right hip near his tail and rear,,he absolutely loves it.

wow, and i thought our Pumpkin was an anomaly. she passed away a couple of years ago from heart disease (she was a rescue and we had her a long time). she was our soul kitty. she liked to patted hard on the butt, we called it spankin's and the thing is, each time she would fire off a meow. so, you could sit in the swivel chair and turn and "fire" at the other person, then telling her to "fire at wil"l, meaning meow as she liked at them, which she would keep doing. and, we had an answering machine message with her very interesting conversations of meows upon them, all solicited with a bottom pat. she had an unusual voice. i haven't found another cat since that likes it, and definitely not one that fires off a meow each time. she was a beautiful calico. passed on 12/13/2002....

I've never spanked mine even if their naughty. Good old scritches is what they get from me

This is how Misty likes to be patted, she comes up to me and climbes up onto my lap so that her front paws are over my shoulders and she stays for a couple of minutes. so she must like it.

The ones that my kitties like Susan are more like the little pats on the back that a baby gets when its being soothed.
