I would have died if I met Nick Lachey

I met all 4 of them when I was 16 at Seaworld Lacey. My friend Joy had won backstage passes to their show there and we got to watch their soundcheck, then meet them and get a pic, then sit first row for 2 shows in one night! It was awesome. Jeff (I think that's his name) and Drew have their hands on my shoulders in the pic and Nick has his hands on Joy's! I agree though, Justin was DEFINITELY not attractive!

No problem. I'm the queen of movies! I know who was in what and with whom! So, it's fun for me to find mistakes like that

You know, thinking back, I'm not sure she was the real estate agent either. She may not have been in Beetlegeuse at all....I'll check on it.

NO FAIR!!! omg, i'm jealous...cause Nick is gorgeous if you ask me.

I got to go backstage at the Jessica Simpson concert here, and I met "Toya". She sang the basically one-hit-wonder "I do" (a great song I think) and then some members of some boy band I forgot the name, and they were hot!

Anyways, that was a few years back when Jessica got chunky! Holy moly, we couldn't believe it! She had a little bitty midriff on, with dangly things on it to kinda cover her belly, but they still moved around when she walked and danced and she looked like she had gained weight...it was after nick and her break-up, so maybe she was depressed and ate alot.

We have pictures of her and you can see cellulite all in her arms and stuff. It was just odd seeing her like that and knowing how wonderful she looks now, it's hard to believe.

Oh, and when it was Jessica's turn to come out on stage, they made people with back-stage passes LEAVE the area so we didn't get to see her backstage---what a brat! I did, however, get to meet Jessica's dad. He's a nice-looking older man!

Canada has TONS of world famous entertainers.

Celine Dion, Avril Lavigne, Shania Twain, Alanis Morrissette, Joni Mitchell, Sarah McLaughlin, Diana Krall (our women ROCK, what can I say?!?)

I'm sure there are a lot from Toronto. Here are a few.

Barenaked Ladies, Rush (bands)
Mike Myers, Keanu Reeves, a whole bunch of SNL cast members (actors)
James Cameron, David Cronenberg, Atom Egoyan (directors)
Timothy Findley, Robertson Davies, Marshall McLuhan, Naomi Klein (writers)

Ernest Hemingway also lived here while writing for the Toronto Star back in the 1920s.

Christchurch, New Zealand, my hometown doesnt have any really famous people that I know of. But Chris O'Donnell's baby was born in the same hospital that I was born in.

As for Asheville, Andie MacDowell lives here, and apparently a lot of famous people have vacation homes in Biltmore Forest, a really upscale neighbourhood - including Tom Cruise and rumours are - Robin Williams (He ate at a restaurant right near our house, and they have the photos to prove it), Prince (or is it the artist formerly known as Prince?? I can never keep up!) and the latest rumour was that Stephen Spielburg was looking to buy but not sure if it is true.

as far as movie stars? Hilary Swank and James Caviezel from Bellingham, and Tom Skerritt, Seattle, there are writers here too, Stephen King and that dude who wrote Dune. The writers like all the gray, it feeds their angst.

Oh yeah... Prince actually lives with his wife here in Toronto on a posh street called The Bridle Path (but you didn't hear it from me).

I went to school (elementary through high school) with Edward Norton. He was a year older than me, and I had the biggest crush on him when I was in 4th grade

Erm, yes I do
I've had to pull them out once or twice to prove I wasn't lying. And the funny thing is I didn't realize who he was, until my brother (who played hockey with his brother) pointed it out to me.

Oh my goodness...what a brat! That's a definite bummer. That's fun though that you got to hang out backstage for so long! Getting to do stuff like that is so exciting!!!

Grr - lost my post and have to recreate it.

Okay - to help Lacey out -

Ron Glass -Barney Miller (negro detective). Sister knew him at college. they were both thespians.

MIchael Rosenbum - Lex Luthor of Smallville - lived not far from me and attended my high school. I know his mother (through my sis) and was at her 2002 wedding. Yes, I saw Mike, but made no attempt to go near him. He was acting like a jerk - no doubt from all the women trying to get near him!

Florence Henderson - Carol Brady/Brady Bunch - grew up in Spencer County just to the east of me and also lived in Owensboro Kentucky. (just south across the Ohio river.)

Somewhere I read that Johnny Depp lived in Owensboro at one time.

Lots of Sports figures including Bob Griese, Don Mattingly - and currently some baseball and basketball players. Owensboro can claim some NASCAR origins - I think Waltrips and Mayfield. (But don't quote me.)

Larry Bird comes from French Lick Indiana about 50 miles NE.

Fred Astaire Jr. lives in the county.

Alex Trebek lives just outside of town on a ranch as does Barbara Streisand has a house here too.

There was a famous boxer here too but I forgot his name. (My dad knew him.)

Jack LeLane (fitness guru from the 50's and 60's lives a town over and knows my dad.

And the infamous Michael Jackson lives down in Santa Ynez area......

I'm sure there are others but I'll have to try and find out.

Hilary Swank went to school right down the way from my college.

I was a Navy brat and spent most of my youth in Bremerton, WA. I went to elementary school with Tom from MxPx. I also went to high school with Ben Gibbard from Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service. He graduated the year ahead of me.

That's right Joanne! And I forgot Alice in Chains, Diane Schurr (jazz), and Heart, all from Seattle originally and did some of their best early work here. Heart still lives here as does just about everyone else. They come back when L.A. gets too insane I guess.
