Ok, so I might be making a mountian out of a molehill, but I think there might be something wrong with cj. His breathing is kind of loud, like he is stopped up or something, his eyes are always kinda watery, esp. at night. I noticed for the past couple of days he is not really as snuggly as he normally is (not that he ever was, its always on his terms, not when you want to) he runs around and kinda has this wild look in his eyes. He has a lot of energy (he is 9 months old) but seems to tire more quickly than he used to. When I do get to hold him he always feels hot, like he has a fever, almost like heat radiates from his body. His ears esp. get hot, but i feel his nose and it is wet and cold. The first time I figured it was because he was napping in the window before he came over to me. I figured allergies so I am going to get new litter tommorrow (one of the wheat or corn ones, maybe it will be better for him). I mean I might be reading into things too much. He eats well and drinks alot. Oh and he goes to the bathroom a lot. If I forget to scoop out his box for a couple of days, I end up having to change the whole box. He seems to go more often than other cats I know, but then again all the other cats I have had were inside/outside. He is strictly inside. I looked and no diherrea (spelling) that I could tell. Am I just being over silly?

I would be concerned over the noisy breathing, and while I am sure some folks do not go to the vets as often as I do, I'm usually glad I went - so...that would be my advice.

Drinking a lot and peeing a lot. I don't want to scare you, but those two symptoms are usually a strong indication of diabetes.

Please take him to the vet immediately for a checkup.

Could be anything, or it could be nothing. But wouldn't you rather be safe than sorry?

we are definatly going to the vet in the morning yes. I was just making sure it wasnt something that we needed to go to the emergency clinic for. His vet had already gone home by the time I got home. We have moments where he isnt warm at all, and then suddenly he is really hot again. Like hot flashes for cats. When he has these he is very lethargic, then when they are over, up and playing. Anyway, I think we are going to go to bed now, I will let you all know sometime in the afternoon/evening how things turn out... send good kitty vibes.

Cj and I went to the vet and she gave me some meds for him. Apparently he had a high number of bacteria in his stool. He was on the edge of having a fever, but didnt quite have one, but he was at the upper range of normal temp. We have gone through all his meds, and he is all better and back to his bouncing ball of onry furry joy now. Thanks for all your good vibes!

Glad to hear everything is well!

We recently had the same kind of scare and took one of ours to the vet...a few days of antibiotics and he was good as new.
