The Science diet thread got me thinkin..
Does anyone know if IBD is cureable? I got an 'all healthy' diagnosis from my vet, but not sure the vet meant she is 'cured' of IBD, or if its just being managed with her strict diet (Bella is doing great btw). I guess I am wondering if this will be a chronic issue that eventually shortens her life span or if its now a 'non issue' as long as she stays on her perscription diet.

Really??
So I can expect that she will never really be 'well'?

My old cat had IBD and was being treated and managed with diet and medication but as far as I know but not cureable yet. I'm not sure if it will have any affect on how long she lives.

Hello, per this vet article, it is a chronic condition that can be controlled but not cured. Click Here to read the article.
