We are planning a trip to Ft Lauderdale this weekend to see my BF's brother and wife who are just passing through. They are going on a cruise to the Amazon! They are from Ohio and I've never met them.

Please keep their dog, Bugger, in your prayers. The dog is at the vet today to determine if he has stomach cancer. If he does, they will cancel their trip.

If Bugger is ok, we will meet up with them just for a few hours and then we will stay overnight. I'm kind of nervous and would also appreciate your thoughts and prayers. I don't intend on driving on 95, so US 1 will take longer, but I have such a little teeny car, I don't feel comfortable around all the highway traffic. The thing I am the most nervous about though, is leaving my cats. I know, it's only overnight. My neighbor will feed them, but I am not used to being away. It sounds so stupid to most people, but I think a lot of you will understand.

Thanks!

Aw, Renee, Buggers is in my prayers! Sending major IT'S-NOT-CANCER vibes his way {{{{{}}}}}. Have a safe and fun trip. Try not to worry about the kitties (though I know that's easier said than done); Oliver and Tripod will probably enjoy having run of the house (which I'm sure they have regardless!) for one night

Sending good vibes for Bugger's tummy!!!!
Don't worry about the cats. I know just how you feel. I always worry about the trouble-twins when I'm away, and rush home, but when I come in the door they just look at me like "oh...you were out...?" lol. I'm sure your babies will be just fine for the night. Maybe they'll have a party for the neighbourhood while mom is away....? lol

Sending lots of vibes for Bugger, poor dog I know what his parents are going through. I hope everything goes well, and I hope they have fun on their trip.

I'm sure you kitties will be okay, go and have fun. You're afraid of I-95? Last Friday I took Alligator Alley, to get to the West Coast of Florida, now that was scary! Nothing but canals, and it was raining hard. I will never take that road at night.

Thanks so much Amy and Leli! They are indoor cats and every once in awhile Oliver tries to get out. My neighbor knows this and he LOVES both cats, so why am I so nervous? (Ok, I know...I'm an overprotective mom.)

Thanks Babygirl! I had a tire blow out on 95 last year. Then my boyfriend had to change it! THANK GOD no one hit him!!!The funny thing was, we were going to rescue a friend who also had a flat tire on 95!

Yikes, that was scary. To be honest I don't like I-95 either, whenever I make road trips, I take the Turnpike, I rather pay $12 for toll, I feel much safer there. To many cars and trucks on I-95.
