So, I am one of the many people who suffer from allergies. Usually late summer is my worst time of year (severe ragweed allergy), but for the last week I've been having the telltale signs: runny nose, HUGE sneezes, watering eyes, and sinus pain. AND, since I'm also very prone to sinus headaches, I've had a moderate one for the last week. Unfortunately, regular antihistimines don't do anything for the headache, just stop the sneezing and make the nose a little less runny. Since I have finals starting this week, I CAN'T just go to bed, so I went to the doctor and got a prescription, but it won't start working for several days at least. This means, at least 3 more days of big huge headache, assuming this presciption does anything at all, which is not guaranteed......I've tried a lot of allergy medications that didn't work for me
. This is really gonna mess up my study plans....

On top of the usual school/exam/allergy stress, I've also been talking to my sister. Her boyfriend has an edocrinological disease and has recently developed symptoms that may indicate another condition. This new condition, which is associated with his disease, causes degeneration of spinal neurons (mostly legs) and could eventually have some brain involvement. This poor guy is only 22 years old and is now facing the very real possibility of losing control of his legs and bladder. He's going in for more tests soon, so everyone is keeping their fingers crossed that it'll turn out ok.

So, that's what's going on with me this week....hopefully next week will be better.

I really hope that things start looking better for you this week. Hopefully the medicine will kick in more quickly. I hate having allergies, especially during finals week!

I'm very sorry to hear about your sister's boyfriend. That would be difficult for anyone to handle, let alone a 22 year old man.

Good luck to you.

Wow, you have a lot to deal with right now. I will say a prayer for you and for your sisters boyfriend that they are wrong about what he has and that your new meds work. Hang in there, its hard I know, but you can do it. Hugs and best wishes for you and for him.

Thanks a lot for all the support, guys. Last night I found out that I won't be able to graduate this June as planned because I'm lacking a credit (I have enough credits, but need one more of a specific type). Course selection is already closed, unfortunately. So, I've been running around campus all day trying to work it out. Very stressful, especially with exams tomorrow and friday, but I'm trying to keep my mindset positive.

Thanks for the vibes for my sister's boyfriend. I'll definitely keep you guys updated.
