CJ seems to like to sleep in a room when the light's on, but, sometimes she enjoys the lights off. They like the dark cubbys and hard places to get to, but they like light and LOVE to sunbath! How do your cats like it?

I didn't know what sort of question this was going to be?!

I have no idea if they like the light on or off?, but they do love lying in the sunshine when it streams through into the house.

Sasha likes a dark room except for his "sun lamp", which is a small reading lamp that sits pefectly above "his" corner of the sectional by the big picture window in the family room. Which he likes open --while the "sun" is shining on him, keeping him warm.

I had to pick other because the two of them are different.

Sammy likes to sleep where the action is (aka on the stairs or in the hallway), which means he's usually sleeping where the lights are on. This way, he's in view of the doorway if someone comes home or leaves, can see the kitchen if somebody cooks something (OR if someone drops something!!!
), and he can hear all the conversation happening in the living room. He's very nosy.

Lola likes to sleep WITH me (aka on me, or on my work or computer, whichever causes the most distruption
) if I'm not moving around a lot, but when she goes off to sleep by herself it's usually in the darker areas of the room (under the bed in the corner and in her catbed, which is under a chair...the chair is usually drapped with clothes and stuff, so that makes it nice and shady for her).

I like the dark, though, so unless I'm doing something that requires it, the lights are off in my room. I use a blanket as a curtain so that very little light can shine through. Combine that with my taste for rare steak and my allergy to sun, and I probably would have been burned as a vampire in medieval times
.
