Thought I would post photos of one of my scoots (I haven't got the pics of my other scoot back yet).

This one is a 1981 125 Vespa Primavera. The most powerful small-frame Vespa out there... but I have to sell it!
I'm upset about it, but since I'm on a leave from my job, finances are a going to be a struggle.

But not to worry, I still have my 2005 Vespa ET2 (pics on the way soon)!

Thanks Rigel!
Yeah, this one is a nice bright red and the other is silver (matches well with the little grey goblins!
).

I remember years ago when I had a different Vespa (also red), when Mik was a kitten he would somehow figure out how to get on the balcony, and I would come home, turn off the scooter, and hear the little blue beasty meowing his head off at me from the balcony!
It was like he was saying "Where the hell have you been all day and WHY didn't you take ME for a ride!?!"

That is TOO funny about your father in law's cat! Some cats are just "Born to be wild"!

Scooters have always been quite popular in the UK, I think because you don't get the buckets of snow we get during the winter.
Though I think scooter culture is experiencing somewhat of a Renaissance right now across the pond, as we are here. I've been riding for years, and have just noted a boom in scoots on the street in the past year or so.

Thanks!
There are TONS of scooterists out in Vancouver (I'm in Toronto), I think because of the milder weather.

It's cute. I personally like the Aprilia automatic bikes.

Yep, I know an Aprilia rider here in Toronto. They're a bit too big for my liking, but then again I plan on getting a "real" bike someday.
My dad and uncle were bikers back in the 60's, so I think it must run in the blood... though I think I'm the first woman.

I owned a Yamaha Maxim 650 for awhile, but at the time it was too expensive for me to upkeep. My best friend owns 2 bikes and for now, I have to be content to ride 2-up.

My former boss bought an Aprilia 250 last year. She loves it!

Very cool.
When I did the motorcycle course I rode a Honda Rebel, a 250CC bike, and I loved it! Felt like I could've been an extra in Easy Rider.

Hey, at least you have a friend with bikes so you still get to experience the feeling of freedom and bugs in your teeth.

Under the cats, mostly.
So THAT's where you get your username from... I did always wonder. Scooters aren't too poular up here - because unlike Susan down south, we DO get buckets of snow in the winter!!

Love the red by the way... we all know red is a go-faster colour!! (even if it is downhill with a tailwind!)

Right... though I heard you mention you were from Scotland. My ex-boyfriend's family is from there.

And this scoot is a zippy little thing, and red is definitely the colour for it!
