My momma is at 63 day along today and we just noticed she has a small mucous spot on her vagina but she isn't trying to clean it. Her vagina has been throbbing for a couple of days and she has been trying to nest for over a week now. We have had her playpen up for about 3 weeks now.
She is still eating but she will do that up until she delivers. She did that on her last litter. She is drinking like crazy. At times she will sleep and move and sleep and move. At other times she will go outside with us and walk around. She has been producing milk since last Thursday. She has had problems with deliverys before so we refuse to leave her side and the vet says if she doesn't have them by next Tuesday then she would like to go ahead and induce her
poor thing. Are there any signs that make anyone think she could be going into labor soon? Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello, I was in the same position last week. We noticed a greeny / yellowish mucus and our cat gave birth a day later. She was also really restless for about 3 days before she gave birth. Another big giveaway is that there is a big difference in the mum's mammary glands around 2 days before she is due.

Hope this helps !

No this is her third litter. Thats why I am a little scared. Her other litters didn't go that well. Her first one she had in the litter box. We thought we made it home in time but two of the cats died a little over a year later. Her second litter. She had 3 babys and one was only half way developed. She is a wonderful mother. However her body doesn't do great at development and labor and delivery. I always think each time will be different but since this is the last litter then we only get to pray for the best.
We didn't leaver her side on the last litter and we won't on this one either. We actually have to leave for 2 hrs tonight and can't reschedule and we are so scared. We are just hoping she will wait for us like she did last time.
Thanks

While I am in no way fussing at you over this, it would seem to me that if she didn't do well with two previous litters, it is past time to have her altered and not allow any more pregnancies.

That now being said, if she lost the plug and is at day 63 then it is very, very close. I sincerely hope this litter goes smoothly for you, but if not, then please take my suggestion and don't allow another pregnancy for this girl.
