Yesterday, I was having a horrible time. I cried in my office a good bit, had to get a CT Scan after work (couldn't cry there!), had to go BACK to work until 7 (couldn't cry then b/c I was working with someone at that point), and all I could think of on the drive home was throwing myself on the bed and just sobbing.

Fortunately, I was able to come home to two sweet kitties
who were so happy to see me and greeted me with tons of head butts and purrs. That made me so joyously elated! For a few minutes, I forgot what it was I wanted to cry about. Of course, when the tears came, Eponine would come love on me and Cosette would do those cute kitten things that always get me laughing.
Anyway, thank God (or Jehovah or dog or Allah or whoever else you choose to worship!) for cats! They bring light and goodness into even the darkest days. Can I get an aaaaaaaaaaaamen to that???

Amen Amy!!!

I know when my sister lost her beloved dog Benji i was upset myself, but then Sophie stood beside me and started jumping in the air after her tail which always made me laugh!, and i often wondered if she did it on purpose because i couldn't help but laugh back at her

Unconditional love is what we get from them!!

Aw, I'm sorry your sister lost Benji
But Sophie has that instinct, as most cats and dogs do....they know when their people are sad and down and know just how to get us smiling by being the sweet babies they are!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMEN!

AMEN!!

I had only had Bella a couple months when I was fired from my last job - if I hadn't had her to come home to I probably would have lost my mind!!! She knew I felt crappy and curled up on the couch with me
while i drowned my sorrow in a pint of Ben&Jerry's.

Oh Amy I hope today is a better day for you!!

Oh yes it's so true that the kitts know exactly how to provide that much needed comfort!! Waffle will usually come and curl up right next to me, and ocassionally she'll even put one paw on my leg. It definitely makes me feel like she's doing it on purpose!!

Glad to hear your babies were able to help you out in your rough time Amy!!!

AAAAMMMENN!!!! to that SISTER!!! You are so right, they are amazing. Last night I was feeling the same way, Tony was over watching a game at his friends house, and I was trying to sleep, but was so upset about so many diff things that are going on and just wanted to cry. Conner jumped on the bed, took one look at me and plopped on my feet. This actually amde me sad(der) because he usually lays snuggled up with me,, so the sob that I am, I moved the end of the bed and curled up with him in a ball, and he hugged me and snuggled close, and suddenly nothing else mattered. I said to him, "Please never leave me my friend." I sure dont know what I would do with out my mushpot baby. I love it when I get hugs from him.

AAAAAAAAAAAmen coming from me, too. Cindy's the little mush who comes to find me and cuddle at those times -- ever so sweet!
Glad your little darling lifted your spirits, and I hope you have a better day today

AAAAAA-MEN!!!
Besides the comfort I got from God, when I was going through my divorce, it was me and Oliver. My family is in another state, except my dad, who didn't want to get involved.

My ex got the birds and the dog. He missed Oliver so much that he adopted a cat.

THANK GOD FOR ANIMALS, ESPECIALLY CATS!!!

Thanks Rigel and Beth!
Beth-fortunately, I just needed a CT scan of my sinuses to find out why I'm always getting sinus infections, so nothing too serious

Anywho, in keeping with the theme of the thread:
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMEN for felines, big and small!!!
