Do you ever check the oil in your car?
Not as often as I should, but yes.
Oh yes, not constantly, but I Keep and eye on this!
I know how to, but I have never personally checked it. When I was younger my dad always did it and now I ask Brendan too every once in a while.
Oh yeah. Don't want it burning out!
I can, and I have, but usually make hub do it!
i watch... never tried and dont really see were its supposed to oil?
I know how, but generally don't. I just get it changed according to the mileage. Cindy and Katherine~perhaps you could send Charley and Brendan over to check mine while they're at it!
No, never. My car is going on 5 yrs old but it's a reliable little thang.
Funny you should mention that!
I don't but Hubbys uncle is a great mechanic and does amazing things with my car! I wouldn't trust anyone else with it! First thing next Monday am it goes to him for an oil change, and all the trimmings, check the fluids(top them off) check the shocks, tires, things like that. He's the greatest mechanic I know!

No.. I leave that to the guys at Pennsoil
post #13 of 27
i dont have one
no (a very proud one!)
It's worth $20 to have someone check that stuff for me. I'm embarassed to say I'm one of those stereotypes - a girl that doesn't know much about cars.
Nope, never!! because I don't have a car!
Yep, I just did it on Friday. I was going on a long road trip, so I had to do it.

Never

Quite regularly!
Nope I don't check the oil in my car, but then it's only two years old so I don't think it has a leak. That and my oil is changed every three thousand miles like clock work. My Dad changes it for me so I'm sure he'd let me know if I needed to start keeping an eye on it.
Never - that's my husband's job. He doesn't grocery shop or cook, I don't do cars.
no, until the day that i see oil sitting below my vehicle i probably wont start checking it often... i do check like every couple of weeks, or if it starts driving even the slightest bit off

but i ususally just let it go from oil change to oil change, so far it has never been too low

one day my luck will run out though

hehe, that is like me and my husband, except it is indoor/outdoor stuff....

i told him when we married, you dont have to do any inside chores if i dont have to do any outside chores (mostly because i am scared of every bug on the planet)

i will help rake and sweep though and he will gather laundry for me or take out the trash on occasion
post #24 of 27
No, but I do have it changed regularly.
Yes, on occasion. Haven't lately, though, because the oil was changed quite recently.
When I first learned to drive my parents made me learn how to check fluid levels, change a tire, and general maintenance. Even though I know how I never do. I just take it back to the dealer to check things out because then everything is documented for the warranty.

I definitly will when I get my car.
