o/t The most awesome rock show ever

I know this is a kitty cat board, not a music board, but the music boards are all kinds pretentious, and I just HAVE TO SHARE!!! Besides, I know some of you enjoy music, too.

My boyfriend, a friend of ours and I made the trek to Cleveland yesterday, to the driving snow and freezing cold wrath of Lake Erie, nearly getting lost on an interstate detour. Our post-show take-out order was so messed up, we had to send it back...to the only place we knew of that was open at 1:30am. We missed daylight savings time and work up an hour late, missed the continental breakfast, and checked out almost a half an hour late. Plus I was grumpy from lack of sleep and lack of food.
But it was all worth it, 100 times over.
Because Queens of the Stone Age ROCKED OUT for 2 solid hours!!! We had a great time. The crowd was cool (we managed to stay clear of the small mosh pit), the bouncers weren't harrassing people, the venue was awesome. And the Queens...were just rockin'!!!
All things considered, that was about the best show I've seen. The band was ON and the venue was great (and small...less than 1000 people!!). Even the opening band was...entertaining...and quite...unique....
We had a great time. I hope they extend the tour, or do another tour later, or something!! It was GREAT!!!!

I love Queens of the Stone Age!!!!! Was Dave Grohl with them? I always wondered how he managed to be in Queens of the Stone Age and Foo Fighters

Dave was on their last album...and only toured with them for a few shows on that tour. The Foos weren't doing anything at the time.
The drummer they have now is pretty rockin, too.
Have you heard their new album?

I haven't heard their new album, is it good? BTW, what part of WV are you in?

No doubt... QOTSA always rock! They're amazing live.

But more importantly, how HOT was Josh? I bet he was wearing one of those sleeveless tees... He is the HOTTEST rock star in my book.
