What temperature should I have the area where my Momma cat is?

She has not gotten along with my 6 other cats and she is staying in the finished basement. It is usually cooler down there, I do not want it to be too cool.

I am not sure what I am doing this is my first litter of kittens and I am not sure when she is due, she was an outside cat that was hurt and I was able to get her in the house. When I took her to the vet two weeks ago, she said she would have them within two weeks. No signs of labor that I have read in the threads, or any articles I've read.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Gizmoe

As long as the room where you plan for her to deliver is out of the open elements and she has plenty of nesting material in the kitten box, she should be fine. However, don't place the box on an un-insulated concrete floor - place something thick under it first so as not to leech the heat out of the box.
