loud meowing & spraying

Hi all, need some help. One of my friend's cat is meowing very loudly and spraying too. She has separated it on its own, but she spritzes her with water if she meows. Do you know of anything I can suggest so she doesn't have to traumatize the poor kitty?? They've been to the vet and was given a clean bill of health.

Poor kitty! Tell your friend that squirting it with water won't help a bit. How and when did she get the cat? How old is the kitty? Spayed? Is she the only cat in the household?
My gang were noisy when they were new. In time they "mellowed" on their own. Maybe it is the same with your friend.

Hi Yayi, yes the kitty is neutered. I think he's just a loudmouth, he's about 1-2years old. Definitely an adult.

Then he reminds me of Kawawa. He never stopped meowing and sprayed even after he was neutered. I think it took 2 months before he toned down. He's quiet now but once in a while he will "sing" for 5 minutes everyday. BTW, the spraying stopped.
