I was thinking about you earlier today and hoping that all went well! So now I need to see pictures of these little ones that gave you gray hair before you even got them!

The breeder was out of town for two weeks , i wish she would have just said she was going to be gone for awhile , then i would'nt have worried so much, as as far as the other guy goes, his cat he got from her is sick, it has a herpes virus (I did'nt even know they could get that ) YUCK , which kinda gives them the same symptoms as URI, which my kittens have , they were at the vet today, I just hope mine dont get that, she will not even talk to the other buyer , i dont know i guess not a very good cattery, but we love the kittens just thesame

Are your kittens are feeling better? I've followed your story since the beginning. I purchased through an out-of-state breeder and fortunately had no problems. I can totally sympathize with your anxiety and would have seriously considered getting a cheap e-ticket and flying there. One suggestion that was given to me by my former vet, especially if you have reasons to be concerned for the kittens health from the outset (which it sounds like you do) is to have the vet do a full blood work up now (including proteins, white/red cell counts, titer results, etc.). Put the results away in a file somewhere. If the kittens ever become sick again in the future, it will help in diagnosing what could be wrong (nothing to worry about or something chronic). Since I'm a lay-person in the animal world, I think it gives me some basis for understanding what is going on in their little bodies. Simply put, blood doesn't lie. It's a little bit expensive, but we've already made such an investment (emotional and financial) in our companions.

herpes, if your kitten has it, will remain forever in the cat, you'll never be able to cure him 100%. My Marsh has herpes, and the best thing you can do is prevent and treat early. Plus, adding l-lysine to their dry food is a good preventive measure as well.

good luck, let us know how it turns out

There is a newbie breeder who has shut down in less than a year. Closed breeder is selling sick pedigree sphynx cats with breeding rights yet chances they will live are slim. I purchased a 3-1/2 month kitten who only weighed 12.5 oz who she said would be fine. She died in 8 days. For more money she sold me a breeding cat that was 6 months old who she claimed had a cold. The kitten has been sick with URI since I purchased her. of Breeder has had thug friends threaten me if I told anybody for they did not want others to know they were not alone getting a sick cat from their line. The cat house is in PA & the breeder offers to fly the kitten to you for she works for a airline. The kittens & cats she told me all had eye problems from cats fights but it is more like herpes. sad this new breeder who already is out caused so many problems.
