Goodness I'm excited!!!
It won't be for about a month and a half, but, he WILL be getting one after he moves and I can't wait. In early May he will be moving into a house with his friend and his friend's sister. The friend's sister already has a young kitty and his friend's parents (who own the house and bought it for his kids to live in while at school) have already agreed to allow Brendan to have a cat as well! He, of course, wants to do everything right which is why it will be so long. He's going to make sure he's all settled in and has all of his kitty essentials before we go and get one!
I can't wait though! I know I already said that, but I really mean it! He can hardly wait either. Yesterday we decided that he should go through Rescues by Judy, a foster group who fosters dozens of kittens, cats, puppies, and dogs year round. We saw them at Petsmart yesterday and played with the kitties they had there. They are a really great group and spay/neuter all cats, have all tests/vaccines/shots up to date, and microchip each kitty before they are adopted out. Also, they make sure that the adoptees are allowed to have pets where they will be living as they make them bring in a copy of a lease before they let them go. They're just a great group! Can't wait to see who Brendan will end up with.
Also, I will be the closest thing this kitty has to a meowmy (not the girl that lives with them) so I already have plans to spoil the heck out if it from day one. I think my first gift will be a Panic Mouse.
This will be such a loved and well taken care of kitty. I can not wait until it (whoever it ends up being) comes into our lives. I know it's not happening for a while, but time does fly and it will be here before I know it. As soon as it comes I'll update this thread and head on over to Fur Pics as well and plaster tons of pics I'm sure of the new furbaby!
Just wanted to share the good news with you guys.
