Fiv symptoms... lethargic or just lazy....

Hey guys,,,,

iirecently fostered a cat with Fiv and he's a very very very very snuggly cat. He loves to lie down and snuggle.... is this the lethargy that they say is part of the disease? how will i know the difference?

Congrats on the new addition. I dont really know any symptoms of FIV but it is always a good idea to take a visit to the vet and get things checked out anyway, esp. since you just got your cat. You always feel better when you get a clean bill of health, rather than wondering is something wrong.

i should have mentioned we have already seen the vet and been checked out etc. i was just wondering about his behaviour ... he sleeps a lot... i'm not sure if that is becuase he is in isolation from my other 3 and doesn't have too much to do in the spare room... i have made it as nice as possible... added two cat trees, and some pot plants etc... but i was just wondering if he is ... i dunno... lethargic or does he just like to snuggle....
because as soon as i get in the room he jumps up and then if i sit down on the bed he gets all purry and then lies down to have his head rubbed

i GUESS what i'm asking is... what constitutes lethargy?
