Does anyone know about this skin lifting procedure?? Thermage It's really popular here in Seattle and I was thinking of getting it done. It's for people who don't want face lifts, but it's deeper than dermabrasion.I don't think I need a facelift, but after we lost SiSi and Freddie two years ago, I have my "sorrow frown" between my eyebrows and I'd like to get rid of it. They say it's very popular with men, too! Has anyone heard anything first-hand?? I'd be interested to know!

oh Lord you guys...
please, you are so sweet
--and I thank you for the vote of confidence--but I honestly wanted to know about Thermage, really. I do have a frown line, I mean it - I hate it. I am hoping some of the French/European members see it? They say it's from France! Beth?? Jenny?

i've heard of it, it stimulates new collegan or something and lasts two years.

if you want to get it done ask to see a portfolio of the doctors past patients or maybe even meet a few to ask questions.

i'm not sure hows its done though...

I am doing an article on it as we speak- that and laser peels, chemical peels, face lifts and other aspects of plastic surgery.

ENGLAND... LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY!
I've just had a look on a website thats said it's procedure is applying heat to the dermis and the underlying tissue.

The collagen in the skin then thickens and tightens with the heat which gives the skin a smoother look.

Sounds good to me!. They offer a brochure if you want one?

Eddie - you're already beautiful, why change that? and your little line? It's proof that you care - there's nothing bad in that.

There's plenty of information about on the internet although, I have to say, most of it is from places that offer the treatment. There are some potential side-effects that you should investigate before deciding one way or the other. I think your best bet for objective information would be from a dermatological website that's not linked to any particular clinic - but do make sure you balance the information yourself before making any decision.

Beth, yes, I agree ...I am not embarassed about my "SiSi frown" I just attribute it to forming there all the nights I cried myself to sleep, my grief just froze itself into my face. I was curious. And here it's me who pops off to every woman about beauty in character from within!
Thank you for just th eplain, simple idea of checking w/non-biased websites.
