We need good vibes. We are going to the vet for her very first time tomorrow morning. I hope that she has a clean bill of health. We do know that she is probably pregnant and has an imbillical hernia so hopefully that can be easily fixed. I will have her checked for feline leukemia and vaccinated as well as getting her microchipped. Oh... and I took the whole day off so I can devote it to her. Wish us luck.

I wanted to be the first!

Of course.
You will do splendid and so will she. I have high hopes that this strong, brave, beautiful kitty will sail right through - please post an update when you can!

Leah,

Again thank you for taking her into your home. I am hoping the vet will give her a good report. I hope she isn't still hiding under the bed?

No hiding anymore, she wants out! We have been spending nights with her and she is ready for life. MEEEOW is her favorite word these days and boy does she like to be petted. She gets under the sheets just to find a friendly hand to massage her.

I'd love to take days off just to do this, unfortunately, i'm on a new job and have no vacation days yet, or personal or anything else for that matter

Well I just dropped her off.
They are going to test her for feline leukemia first then vaccinate her then do the surgery. I can go get her this afternoon. Paws crossed that she is negative on the leukemia. Poor baby cried all of the way to the vet. I assured her that she would be coming home soon.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for her. Poor little thing, she probably does think she's being abandoned again, and will be thrilled to get home.

Is she pregnant, tho? And when you can, Leah, I know right now you are busy....tell us how her demeanor was when she saw you and if she recognized you and how it all went!

Thankfully she was NOT pregnant. She was very quiet on the way home but this time Dick drove and I had her crate on my lap. She sniffed my fingers as though she recognized me. When we went back up to her room, she went right to her sleeping spot under the bed. I'm going to give her some peace and quite for a while then go visit her later. All of the tests were done. No leukemia and her blood work up was great. The hernia was also taken care of. Oh...and I had to get de-wormers for all of my cats so you can just imagine what that bill came to. I will say that it was worth every penny.
