CJ JUST HAD SOME DISCHARGE (WATER BREAKING) AND SHE IS ACTING FUNNY!!!! SHE'S HAVING HER KITTIES TODAY, MOST LIKELY, or possibly tomorrow, but, HEY, LET ME HOPE!

I'm so excited. I was watching her, because she was acting funny, and looked like she was having some sort of contractions, and now she has the discharge. I'm SO EXCITED!!!

She trys to jump, and doesn't make it, but struggles to get up, and short distances, too! Will she hurt herself or her babies if this happens? Should I try to keep her from jumping? Or just let her be? Also, do I need to keep her away from Billy? I first suspected her going into labor this morning when she swatted Billy away, which she never does. Should I keep them separated, or let him in, which he is so adamantly trying to do!?

I'M SO EXCITED!!!

Rub her belly, if she will let you.....are you married? If so is your husband or b/f home?
She might wait until he is there? I know Scarlette did

Ummm... I'm 15. LOL! The only person who isn't home is my mom, but CJ doesn't spend a lot of time with mom.... Billy does. So, I don't think she's holding out for "anyone..." but, could she hold out for Billy? Or should I keep them separated?

No, no babies, yet. It probably will be a while, because she just went into labor the morning - noon... so, it might be a while!

She's still eating, and drinking... is this normal?

I'M STILL SOOOO EXCITED!
she will probably from what i've read about cats wait until the early hours to give birth.

its so exciting. vibes for an easy birth and a hug for cj
post #12 of 158
How's it going now? any babies yet?
Mine at up until the moment of the first baby. Try to put Billie with her and see how she acts, if they are really close she might just be waiting for him. Each cat is different

No... none yet. She's eating right now!

Thanks Momof6mews, I'll try! I'll watch em, too!

Thanks all for the words of encouragement! I can't wait! She's acting weird, and like I said above, she can't jump....

I would appreciate all prayers for the safety of her and her kitties!

Thank-you so much, Mews! It's not like this is my first litter... it's just my babie's first litter! I'm so excited!

Catnip toys? She wants to play with it... but I took it away for the moment? Should I keep it away from her?

I let Billy in... they touched noses, and he started eating her food! Pig! I'll keep a close eye on them.

YAY!

Well, I wouldn't consider myself an expert... just a little expirienced! I'm open to all suggestions to calm ME down!
I'm more antsy than CJ!!! (doubt it)

CJ didn't seem to like Billy being in there. She went to the other room and curled up away from him. He kept playing with her clumps in the litterbox, too! As soon as I put Billy out, she loosened up a bit, so.... I don't think she wants to share this with him.

She's laying there... almost looks like she's asleep. But when I looked at her a second ago, I saw a contraction.

I'm so EXCITED!!!

I've watched births, C sections, stimulated a kitten after the C-section, and even tried to revive a kitten that was still born (sadly, he didn't make it), but I still wouldn't consider myself an expert, especially when it comes to MY BABY!

Are you rubbing her belly for her? My cat was in labor and it all went really fast...

I just tried.. and she let me do it for a second, and she didn't like it too much, because she moved away. She's protective about her belly. She just wanted me to scratch her head.

I'M STILL SOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!

Is it normal for her to try to sleep!?
I think each kitty is quite different when it comes to their labour - mine went into it suddenly, and she also used to enjoy it when I rubbed her belly for her.
She did let the other cats near, but if they got TOO close, she'd swat them away.
I think that as for her wanting to play, and eat, I'd let her - I figure that cats know better than us what they can do!!!
Good luck, I can't wait to hear more, and see some pictures!
I've been checking this section every day, to see if she had them yet....
You and CJ have people excited all over the world! Go for it! It iwll happen really soon and fast, I am sure.
Im sure she is sleeping since she knows in awhile she is going to have to work her butt off. Let CJ do what she wants she knows more than we ever will!
