I could just scream

Okay so the person that was babysitting the little white mouse that I found just told me (oh so casually too) that she threw the mouse outside because she saw a hawk flying over head!!! She said she was going to kill it if no one claimed it (but she was joking then or so I though). I feel like a horrible human being.

It makes me want to run out and see if I can find him. But I don't want a pet mouse with the cat in the house lol... UGH I just feel like a terrible person. Never in a million years did I think she was going to do something so disgusting.

Why would someone bother taking the mouse in, then send it out to be killed? How do people like that sleep at night?

Don't feel badly, it would never have occurred to me either that someone I trusted could be so callous!
