Elizabeth,

I didn't want this to get lost in the music thread. Thought you might like this article on Itzhak. How I would love to meet this man...I'd give him his biggest hug ever for all he has given me and the world! Click on the article titled Humor and Grace--Enjoy! Barbara

Almost forgot, there is an audio version of the article...a must listen!

THANKS BARB!!! We got hit really hard last night by a series of storms and hail and had no power - still have no power in my area (I'm at work). I can't wait until we come out of the dark ages so I can listen to this at home instead of here! Thank you so very much and I'm glad you shared it with others, too, he's a genius. I only got as far as 2nd Violin, 3rd Chair in the symphony so I am in awe. How thoughtful of you~~

You're very welcome! For a real treat pick up the DVD of a live performance of Beethoven's Triple Concerto, Itzhak Perlman, Yo-Yo Ma and Daniel Barenboim. Though it's really a show piece for the cello (Yo-Yo Ma is mesmerizing) Itzhak is grand as well. The DVD also has Beethoven's Choral Fantasia, a piece that isn't from what I understand, performed much...but is glorious, and you can see hints of the 9th in it!
