My now husband-then boyfriend- and I went to 2 proms...his and mine. At his, I was still trying to recover from a fractured pelvis, so, I couldnt do a lot of dancing, and I didnt get my hair done like I wanted, but it was truly a wonderful night. At my prom, we had the mardis gras theme, and everyone got a mask going in, and it was really a lot of fun. He took me to a nice restaurant that was kind of expensive, but he didnt care. At his prom, it was the midsummer night theme, so there were moons and stars (which I love anything celestial) and glitter everywhere. Afterward, we went to beach, and walked along the water. It was really romantic!! I will try to post a picture tonight!!

Firstly, please excuse the quality of the photos and the fact that I reflect the flash!
Also, I can't find the good ones - they are in an album somewhere so these'll have to do!

Here is my picture from a Charity Ball I attended when I was 16. The guy was my boyfriend at the time!

This is from my Leavers' Ball from High School. The guy is my boyfriend at that time!

eh-hem - well...it's on a print somewhere that I will have to scan if I can dig it out later after I've finished my marking! There - was that excuse good enough
. I will find it - as I remember I had a 10 year old and 3 year old at the time, and had all of about 10 minutes to get ready; as well as packing a bag for the kids to sleep at my parents' house that night. Consequently hubby looked very dapper in his tux and I looked.....harried!

Pah! No excuses, Beth!
Us students can be just as cruel and tough as you tutors!
I am sure you looked better than you thought! Can't wait to see them!

Glad to see I'm not the only when that didn't go to Prom. I didn't really like any of my classmates beside a small group of friends that didn't go either. I believe junior year I stayed home and had a small get together for those of us that didn't go. My senior year, my best friend and I stayed in and planned our graduation vacation to the Bahamas.

I could be wrong (other Canadians - please speak up), but from I recall, there wasn't a big whoop really attached to the prom anyway.

Beh I wish I hadn't gone and wasted my time.. but I was in league with a group of "prom crashers" that just happened to attend the school and get dolled up for it.. so not much crsh involved. we went as a group.. and I remember my smallest friend wore those sticky bras, and sobbed when she took them off a week later (she was hoping they would eventually lose tack... they didn't)

they're bracups that adhere to your skin.. and unfortunately sometimes do not some with anything not sticky that goes around the more sensitive areas...It's like wrapping your boobs in packing tape :p
