How true is that. Every morning when I get to work, one of the girls at work and I go to 7-11 to get everyone coffee. Some days I know I wouldn't be able to stand up without it!!

Like today, work was just insane... two emergency surgeries in the afternoon. So my hours were 8 - 7 today.. that's a lot!! Especially for a person who needs like 10 hours of sleep. Then when I come home I actually want to enjoy some of my time to myself so I stay up late.

I like my job a lot but it seems like I live there most of the time. Might as well put a comfy blanket in one of the kennels and just sleep there!

Sleep whats that. I have also heard if you can't fall asleep like within the first hour your in bed you should get back up. (not sure what thats suppose to do). I definitely don't get enough sleep. (Drs. have tried meds, but they don't seem to work to well). They have even had me see how long that I could go with out sleep (which was like 2 and a half days). But when I do sleep I sleep and hear nothing, I have even slept through my house alarm going off. Husband forgot to turn off when he came in. But what I would give for a solid nites sleep.

oh I do know! I commute to DT Seattle too and I hit it right at peak. It takes me 90 minutes each way, it's awful, 3 hrs per day. I've been looking for something closer to home on the eastside, and it's slim pickin's. That is a huge commute! I don't blame you for not wanting to do it alone... you have to be SO alert with all our traffic problems and driving rain in the winter, it's very intense!!! I have to leave at 2 pm in the afternoon or stay until 6 pm to bypass it all, I feel your pain!

I wake up all night long. It is really annoying. I think it is because I'm such an anxious person. I used to have a lot of trouble getting out of bed in the morning but then I got Nepheline and now when she wakes me up in the morning wanting to be fed, I seem to get up no problem! An extra bonus of having a cat that I didn't think about!

The suggestion to get back up it you're having trouble sleeping is the same reason they suggest that you NOT read in bed. Namely, that you want to make certain that you maintain a mental pattern that bed=sleep (well, on the advice of my husband I'll grant it ONE exception . . .
). I get up at 5:30 am and get home at 6:00 pm, and several nights a week I'm at the dojo. So, on weekdays I usually only get about 6-7 hours. I'm one of those people that needs the solid 8 (even 9 hours) or I feel under-rested. BTW, there is variation. It's an interesting subject. The amount of sleep you need varies according to your age, as well as it varies from person to person.

Lavender does too, and it's calming.
Just depends on what you need...

Ha. I voted the `zzzzzzzz...what?' option, and I still want more sleep!! I was a cat in a past life I swear - the idea of spending 20-22 hours a day in sleep just seems heavenly to me.

My bf calls me the `sleeping worm' cos I'm always all snugged up with the doona right up to my neck and just my head popping out - even when it's really hot. I just put the fan on, but gotta have the doona!! He tells me I have this expression on my face when I'm sleeping which is like, `Ahhhh, THIS is where I belong...'

Hey, girl, I have heard that sleeping later on weekends can cause headaches. I get up at about the same time and then take naps later if I need to.

I RARELY sleep for more than 2-3 hours at a time, get up to use the litle girls' room, then back to bed.

One of my main problems is that it says you should get up and go to sleep at the same time every day, even on the weekends. Yeah when you work at 6am Saturdays and 9am every other day, do you really wake up at 5am every day? When you get off work most days at 7pm, and 2 days at 11pm... what time do you go to sleep?

It gives me a headache.

Sleep? Are you kidding?! I'm a full-time college student and have 2 jobs! Sometimes it seems that there is not enough hours in the day....much less time to sleep.
