Do you get enough sleep?

I have been telling myself for the longest time I need to get 8 hours of sleep. And then today on the news we're reporting about how people don't get much sleep.

One of my main problems is that it says you should get up and go to sleep at the same time every day, even on the weekends. Yeah when you work at 6am Saturdays and 9am every other day, do you really wake up at 5am every day? When you get off work most days at 7pm, and 2 days at 11pm... what time do you go to sleep?

It gives me a headache.

It is impossible for me to get in 8 hours during the week. We leave home at 4:00am and don't return until 6:00pm. That would mean I would have to go to bed at 7:00pm. Impossible. I usually get about 5-6 hours.

With being a full-time student, having 2 jobs, and volunteering a couple of days a week my schedule is always way off. Some nights I get great sleep and am able to get plenty of it, but other times I'm way off. At times it's not even my fault!! A few times my new neighbors would have parties on Friday's nights that lasted until 430am, when I would have to wake up at 715 to go to the visitation center for work!!!!!!! I felt like I was going to die on those days. One day though I finally called our complexes after hours number and had them send a cop out.
It hasn't happened since.

I'd say my sleep ranges anywhere from 5-9 hours per night.

Let me tell you... I am probably one of the few people you'll see on here at 4am because, well... I have problems sleeping and have for years!
Especially now that I'm kicking a sleeping pill habit, it's a real killer.

Well, we work in Seattle at a plating shop. I refuse to drive that long haul alone and Dick works overtime hours every day. So we commute together. I just hang in the car, cat-napping if you will, until my shift starts at 8:00. We get off at 4:30 and the commute just stinks in the afternoon. So needless to say I really need to get out of this place and find work closer to home but unfortunately I have been in this business since I was a youngster and don't know anything else.

I usually get about 7 hours of sleep on the weekdays, and then about 10 on the weekends.
I guess it averages out OK.

It's tough though because I have to be somewhere at 7:30 and Earl works from home so he doesn't have to be anywhere. But he still comes to bed within about 1/2 hour that I do, and then watches TV for another 3-4 hours. Last night he couldn't get comfortable, so kept moving around and tugging on the blankets with made me not be able to sleep. And THEN Ophelia missed her jump to the headboard at about 2:30 and landed right on my head. That's a rude awakening!! So last night wasn't very good, and yes, I am tired today.

Not even close to enough if it's a school night. I sleep forever on the weekends though

I'm lucky if I can sleep more than 1hr without waking up. Between my cats and my back injury I haven't slept through the night in over 4 years. Also If I can even be able to fall asleep before 6am I'm lucky.
