Felicity has been "coughing" for the last 5 or so minutes.. and she keeps acting like she's about to throw up but nothing comes up. I've never seen her or the other cats do this.. its like.. you know when your sick, and you have the dry - heaves.. where you throw up but nothing comes out.. sorry for being so gross. but thats the only way i can think of to explain it.. i'm worried about her please let me know whats wrong!

I would call the vet... could be nothing but then there are serious things that start that way... any hair or stuff that looks like hair??

Hmmm...I've had the same thing happen with my cats, and usually what I will do is rub their throats for a bit, it seems to ease the coughing.
Could she have gotten into anything that could be blocking her throat though?

nothing is coming out. and she's not constantly doing it. she'll be fine, then she'll just start again. When I came back up from doing the laundry, she was lying on the couch but her sides were like twitching really rapidly, then she started coughing/gagging again, but now she's fine. i'm freaking out here. shes not really gagging anymore, now it just kinda looks like she's got the hiccups. i dunno.
