Hey all, just wanted to update you a bit on the bakery, Charlie is planning to open it Thursday of this week !
The exciteing point being, is that he wants to do a tasting one night so lots of folks can "check him out". We have only got a small dining room though, so can't seat but about 50 or so folks......but.......we were talking with a gentleman who works with Beacon House (our local abused women's shelter here in Jasper), and we're going to do it as a "fundraiser" for Beacon House, so much $$ donation for them gets a ticket to the tasting, and he can get us the biggest rentable building in town FREE ! That would be great for us and them too, would make money for them, and increase the number of folks we can attract to the tasting! I'm anxious beyond measure!

Lol, I wish everyone here could, Susan! But truthfully, it's a win-win situation for both parties, IMO

No thanks necessary, Amy.......my theory is that if it helps someone else, someone in need of something, its a good thing!

Have you seen the movie Chocolate, with always-yummy Johnny Depp? The woman who makes chocolate for the town houses and counsels abused women.....what you are doing reminds me of that

Cindy, that IS a great idea! I wish we could have a convention, I'd LOVE to meet everyone (and I'd love to sample your wares as well).
