Well Cookie scared the doodie out of me today. She climbed up the birthing cage and fell off. I should have gotten her down and not been taking pictures but I figured she'd meow when she needed help. Geez how am I gonna keep these guys from climbing things like this?
She hurt her leg and was limping for a little bit but she's doing ok now. Hopefully she learned her lesson!

Gosh my stomach was in my throat and you should have heard me gasp! That was so scarey. She did not land on her feet! Thank goodness she landed on the carpet!

Glad that all turned out well.

Good thing he is learning his lessons early on.

I'm so glad she's okay! That must have been pretty darn scary! Poor thing!

They do it when they are older too... Cosmo was on my desk the other night... he tried to jump from my main desk to the little return on the side, which is smooth wood... and slippery! He lost his footing, landing on a placemat I have there... his back legs slipped off and he went sliding off, trying to grip the wood with his front claws. I was sitting on the floor on the other side of the desk (doing easter baskets) so it looked like he was going over a cliff trying to hang on for dear life! Poor guy... pulled the placemat down with a full cup of gatorade in it (which proceeded to fly all over the room
) -- luckily he was okay, but gave himself a good scare.

... and yes, he was climbing right back up there again today. Lesson: don't assume they learn with age or even after they've already fallen

I'm glad your little Cookie didn't crumble and is a-okay!

Pixel likes to sleep on the back of my recliner, & usually does ok, but every once in a while i'll feel her shift (like in her sleep), then the scrabbling claws, followed by a thump when she hits the floor. but she's back up there again in no time!
