So the moving part is over, mostly, and now is the clening the old place and setting up the new place. so yay.

I love living on the 2nd floor, but my gods, I never want to move into or out of one again.. it was rough! but all our stuff is here, and with minimal crisis, although we still don't have any cable or internet, soooo.. a bit quiet and I miss you guys!

And we are sooooo sooooore.

as far as the kitties?
it's amazing. the most traumatic part of the move was getting Molly locked away into the old bedroom (she's been afraid of being shut in ever since mum accidentally closed her in the toilet the first time she cared for her.) they're taking to the new place better than the old one, and even Miss Hiss is settling in without freaking out! Paige, of course is right at home, and Gibby has decided he is in love with the porch, and was whining when we got up this morning and the sun came out.. he wanted on the porch! and was extremely put out at the knowledge that he wasn't going to get his way.

I have pictures of the aftermath of moving- I will post them when I thinkt o bring the camera here to work.

but I just wanted you all to know that things are going smoothly and that we all survived the move (though, the kitties are faring much better than the humans)

oh Denise! I am glad everything went ok. When we moved to MV, I was sore for about 4 days. Isn't it amazing how the kitties do just settle in??

Glad to hear everything went smoothly. I will be moving out of here at the end of April. Since it's a going to be a new apartment (me and my boyfriend are moving in together), we know that there will be a lot of moving to do between us. We were considering bording the cats overnight (though Sammy HATES the vet, so this isn't the greatest option for him) or finding someone to take them overnight so that we can have everything settled before they come and won't have to worry about locking them up while we move in. Is this what you did? I'd love some tips if you have any to give.

Glad to hear the move has gone fairly smoothly. So when is Gibby going to get his screened-in part of the porch? I'd have to see it, but maybe you'll eventually be able to screen-in part of it, with access from a window for the cats.

I am glad to hear the move went well, and that your kits are adjusting.
I have moved so many times with Fred and Pearl that they is old hands at it. I would hate to have to move Pepper and Scooter, this is the only home they have ever known.
