This morning while using my curling iron I touched my cheek with my curling iron.
I use a beauty parlor type where I set the temp-so it is probably hotter than a discount store type.
So I have a mark on my left cheek bone almost the size of a thumbnail. It doesn't hurt now.
Am I going to have a scar??
How long will it take to scab?? Any special stuff to put on it???

I'm so stupid

What a way to start my morning.

ouch! i've burnt my earr with the same things a few times!

put an ice cube on it to take away the heat or else it will keep burning.

mine scabbed in 2 days, doubt you'll be scarred

in a day or too you could put savlon (a skin healing cream) on it to make it heal quicker.

its more of a shock than a hurt. plus you feel so silly explaining what you did to people! lol

I've done that before on my forehead.

Try neosporin......it makes it feel cool and reduces scars.

Hope it gets better soon!

Ouch Gail! use neosporin and then vitamin e afterwards, also aloe. I doubt very highly you will be scarred....but I will add that "over 30" skin will retain the discolor for a longer time until the epidermis can shed it - about a month.

I use aloe vera on everything its really good, not only it soothes the skin but it makes the scars go away very quickly!
that reminds me to put on my shopping list!

I'm a little late to this post, and you've already gotten some great advice, so I'm going to give you a sympathy ouch!
I burnt my thumb on my curling iron last night, so we can be burn healing pals together!

I'm sorry!

But maybe you two should go clock in on the Klutz thread.
