My Kandie( my 16yr crf) is back to throwing up once a day or every third day or so ; always a gloop of hair.. tonight she threw up something that looked like rice ... problem is she doesnt eat rice in it orginal form... Do worms in cats look like rice??? I know in dogs round worms look like rice and tape look like pieces of tape ... Is it the same with cats>>>?? Sorry to ask I should know had cats for 27 yrs...

I suggest a visit to the vet and take along a sample of the vomit, preferably in a specimen jar, or even in a sealed plastic bag that's inside another one.

Thank you all ... I am going to the vet... he has had a specimen of the vomit not sure if he tested it or not...

Kandie will see the vet on thursday.. Hissy what leval of pedialyte cen she have , she is about 10lbs

Tapeworms definitely look just like rice when they're alive, and like sesame seeds when they're dead (yuck...guess I won't be eating Asian food for dinner!). Take a fresh stool sample to the vet when you go, too.

You can substitute Pedialyte for her water, if you want. Just be sure to throw the bottle out after 48 hours. It's not dangerous after that, but the electrolytes are no longer potent.
