Are the most wonderful women to know. As you all know MaryAnne brought Ash to us today, induring rain and many miles. Elizabeth showed up and we had the greatest conversations. They accepted my dogs, wiggily and jumpy as they are, So much for hundreds of dollars in training. Ashley is still under the bed but she does pop out when coaxed, to say hi. She is all purr and kneeds the carpet, so that's a good sign, right? I put a nitelight in the room so she can see, right, cats can see in total darkness I know, but I'm just that way.

Hats off to you ladies and I hope we meet again.

I'm so glad she's in her forever home now
It will be so nice once she's comfortable and settled. She won't have to move again.

Honestly, I networked around when I got the phone call from Hissy and I knew who I wanted to ask....the real angel in all of this was/is Leah.
Leah also has a family of her own, not to mention the bouncy, friendly and very welcoming border collies and australian shepherd, who I fell in love with at first meet! Leah lives in the shadow of Mt. Rainier, and in a very beautiful place. It's her strong, calm, loving animal spirit that shows through .....you should meet Leah!
(Leah, hon, now you have to post in the Biography thread and the kitties also have a Kitty Bio thread, too...you get to bump them back up!
) MA & Mike braved horrid weather to drive all the way from Sweet Home, Oregon -folks that is 10 hrs- all I did was jump in the car with a raspberry pie and drive 1 measly hour.

THANK YOU FOREVER LEAH.
Ashlee is in a better place and will be truly wanted now. She is an adorable, gentle, 9 monthold gray little kitty that was very neglected.

Here's her new neighborhood in and around Graham, Washington ~

Leah I posted in the other thread, but I will add more here. I loved meeting you, brief though it was. I was tickled pink to watch your hubby feed the stray rabbit that wandered in the yard and release the wild bird caught in the squirrel feeder. Your dogs are a credit to your care and attention in obedience, and all they gave me was an exhuberant welcome because I was such a mix of smells, I am sure I smelled like something needing immediate "herding!" I really flipped for Buddy. Your teenagers were welcoming when I blundered into their television time they gave me a smile and a hello. We would have stayed longer had Mike not fallen down the stairs this morning. He still insisted on driving, for which I am grateful because coming home there were times we had to pull over because it was raining so hard we could not see the interstate! Nasty weather-

Elizabeth I am sorry we declined your goody. I didn't see how we were going to get it home in one piece, so best it was left to the new family of Ash to enjoy~ And yes Leah, we will meet again!

No worries on that pie....I had no idea Leah had teenagers! I'm sure it's gone now.

Oh and Leah, the night light is a good idea. Cats can't see in total darkness, they need indirect lighting of some kind. How is Ashes this morning?

She's eating now, has used the litter box and this morning, as I was frantically searching for my purse, my husband went into her room and she bolted out from under the bed to be petted. Dick really has a way with cats, she loves being petted by him. So I guess I "lost another one to Dick-o".

LOL! Wonderful! I hope he doesn't get nipped- she wants to be touched, but is not quite sure what to do with you when you do touch her-
