Mine started out badly, i woke up feeling nauseous. I think it might have been something i ate, but gradually I am doing better. I hate to miss out on Easter. In a couple of hours I am picking up my sister for a get together.

Sadly now my spring break ends too, back to work Monday. oh well.

Hopefully you feel better by that time. It's no fun feeling sick when there's a good Easter dinner ahead of you. In a couple of hours I'll be gone for dinner myself.

Since I am one of the only ones in my immediate circle of friends who celebrates it I almost forget what a major holiday it is. The stores were packed yesterday.

And thanks, I am doing better.

Me - Im just playing games on the puter - and then we will go to Cheeseburger in Paradise (a restaurant owned by Jimmy Buffett)

Hope you feel better Marge.

I went to a restaurant owned by Buffet once, I think it was called Margarittaville. Boy he really franchised all of that now didn't he?

I saw Margaritaville in New Orleans but I didn't bother with it - instead went for the smaller restaurants than the chains. I sure hope it is good! I could go for mexican though!

It's ben FLOODING here! I am watching TV and washing curtains. I did not go to my friend's house cause the weather is so bad. This has been an "alone" day for me.

I'm the only person among my friends who DOESN'T celebrate Easter.

Glad to hear you're doing better.

That's the one I went to. Although I agree it's more fun to go to small places when traveling. But I wanted to be able to say i went to "Margaritaville"

I know, I had such a great time. I have a large print of The spries of St Louis that I have up and it always reminds me of it.

not one of my friends celebrate it as the actual holiday it is. I have one who does but cause of the bunnies part (she is a bunny fanatic) The rest aren't religious at all. I guess we fit the San Francisco area secular intellectuals stereotype pretty well! I do celebrate it but my sister only shows up cause of the food!

I gave dh a tiny, tiny "basket" this am, and a 6 pack of some of the best Root Beer (Thomas Kemper) as he'd given up soda for Lent. For myself I got some Jordan Almonds to have over this next week, and a couple of peanut butter eggs

We had cheese/scallion omelets for breakfast, and I'm making up snacks now (simply - just kalamata olives, diced and mixed with cream cheese, then put into celery sticks, and devilled eggs).

It's unfortunately raining too hard for us to smoke our Easter dinner as we'd planned (and I'm cooking ahead for the week), so we are using our large electric roaster to do a beef brisket, and I am going to rotisserie our pork loin roast. Nice dinner planned, am getting out the china
that's pretty much it, and quiet day together

Marge, I'm glad you're starting to feel better
What a major bummer, being ill on Easter!
Mine has been nice, despite the rain. We're Methodist, so I went to church with my mom at a church that she started going to a few months ago (our old church got a bit too political and right-wing for her taste). This church is awesome, and the minister used to perform on Broadway, so he is a wonderful speaker. Loved it!

The one thing I didn't do this year that I normally do is make a coconut bunny cake. Didn't have enough family around to share it with
