Here are Lion and Bear posing next to the Tiger painting above our bookshelves in the Living Room. They were having a grand time exploring up there and I was fortunate to have the camera there at just the right time:-)

Bear and the Tiger:

and here are Bear and Lion acting like live ornaments among the plants:

They are sure looking smug, aren't they!

Oh Kathryn, it's so nice to see your babies. They are both adorable, I love the first pic.

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you:-), Yes, I think they are beautiful too:-).

They are very Maine Coon-like and I suspect they are but I know absolutely nothing about either of their parents. They are orphans who I bottle raised. They and their sister were brought to my door by a neighbourhood child when they were 9 and 10 days old (Lion arrived first and Bear and Tiger Lily 24 hours later) as they knew I was the 'cat lady' and their dog had killed the mother. They found the kittens mewling outside in their backyard near a fence so I don't know if their mother was feral, stray or a housepet. I once glimpsed an adult cat who looked like he could have been their father, but only the once.

Bear's mane is absolutely incredible - and he has this tail that is like an ostrich plume - it folds over at the tip as if the hair is too much weight for him to hold it straight up. His coat fur is 3 to 4 inches long except for his face:-) and very fine. Lion has a ruff but not a mane, and a thick fluffy tail but not quite the plume his brother's is. Their sister has a ruff that is longer than Lion's but no where near as long as Bear's and has a plumey tail. None of them became long haired until they were about 8 months old. The fur has a feel to it like rabbit fur and fortunately is not as prone to matting as it looks like it should be.
