My 6 month old cat who just delivered 2 kittens 3 weeks ago -- I noticed a pinkish color on her lower lip, and am concerned about this. Is this normal after having kittens or is it just something that developed ? I have had female cats in the past and never had this problem til Kexi. I love her to death and just want to get the right answer and proper care for her. The kittens are darling and growing big!
Please help.

A pinkish color? Is it swollen or sore? Or is it hot? Also it would be a good idea to get your 6 month old spayed fairly quickly. That's awfully young to have kittens-

It's a pinkish color and a little swollen and when I touched it, she acts if she moves away -- I don't know. I've never seen it before.

Can you take a damp cloth of cold water, and see if she will tolerate you pressing it gently on her lip?

I can try....right now she's sleeping with her babies and don't want to wake her, but I will try that in the morning.

I'll be up in a few hours so I can read and see what I can do.

Thanks a bunch to all kittens/cats lovers!
