Hello I am new to computers and just thought I would try this out.
The problem that I have is we had an old car that we did not mind the cat sitting on this way he was up high and away from anything that could get him. Now we have a new car and do not want him on the car what can I do to make him stay off the new car? PLEASE HELP.

Hi lottjlottjr

You could try cat repelent, that you can buy anywhere , however you must realise that your car is in your cats territory, and is a major high ground.
The other things to consider is that your cat does not know he is doing wrong, one car to him is the same as the other.
You could also try using a spray bottle with water in it and spraying the cat when he jumps on the car and saying "NO".
If all else fails buy a protective sheet cover for the car.

Best of luck

I agree that the best solution is to get a cover for the car.

Another solution is to get a beach towel and cover one side with double sided tape. Each time you park the car, spread the towel - tape side up - where the cat likes to sit. Most cats hate sticky stuff, so after one or two jumps onto the tape the cat will stay away!

Good luck!

Lotso...

Brings to mind visions of kitty landing on sticky towel, staying stuck and sliding off of a polished car, ala Aladdin and his flying carpet.

Funny in a sense, but...then again, not.

How about keeping your cat inside? Or if you have a garage, park it in there and keep the cat out.
