My neighbor gave me her cat yesterday evening. She said that she has asthma and that she's been putting it outside almost all the time in hopes that it would run away (Yep, can you beleive she said that?) So I had to take it, even though I already have 2.

Anyway, yesterday and most of today I have kept this cat in a sperate bedroom and closed the door because it won't stop hissing and making a growling noise when it even sees my cats. I haven't even been able to put them in a room together or anything. My cats aren't hissing or trying to attack her or anything so I don't know what to do.

I don't want to put her in the same room with them if she's going to attack them, I couldn't bear it if she hurt one of my babies but she is SUPER SWEET when I'm in the room with her. Help!!

Oh no! I just saw the sticky article up top about this subject, it looks like I;m just rushing things. Sorry for posting this before I read the article!

Yes, that's a great article! The most common mistake people make is trying to rush it! I've never understood what the big hurry is.

Introductions done wrong can mess things up for years, possibly forever. There's no hurry and as we all know - cats must do things in their own time.
