So, our Saturday is coming to a close....how was yours?

I was going to color eggs with Jerry tonight, but he got called into the firestation to pull an extra shift, so I'm here by myself.....anyone want to come help me color????

I do I do! I miss teaching preschool and doing that kind of stuff.

Tonight I am making my crab cakes for Easter! Today was mellow. Last night though I saw the movie "Robots" very fun, i recommend it. It has adult humor and also a good spirit about it.

Oh I want to help you color eggs! I haven't done that in years!!! What kind of coloring are we going to use?? Solid ones or the kind that make tye-dye eggs???

Today I volunteered at the Greyhound Pets of America and am now back at my place, getting ready to blowdry my hair. In a bit I'll be heading over to a bar-b-que with Brendan at his friends house. I'm not sure how much eating I'll be doing since I don't think Brendan's friend has EVER cleaned his grill.

Susie, I'd love to help you color your eggs! We're not doing that this year my niece and nephew (14 & 17) think they're too old for it!
Well I've been preparing food all day today for tomorrow, so about the only thing I really have to do tomorrow is cook the ham. I'm taking a relaxing break now ....see if I've missed anything on TCS!

I haven't coloured eggs in sooo long. I always loved doing it as a child, and then with my cousin when he was younger.

I don't think I've missed a year coloring eggs ever. LOL When Jerry and I met, he got to do it with me. He always complains that this is for kids, etc, but he always has fun making the funkiest looking eggs ever! LOL

Susie, how do your eggs turn out? Whenever we used to color the the color looked ok until they started to dry and then they got all streaky looking!

Have you seen the new Peeps? They are white eggs with icing included in the package, so you can decorate your eggs. I picked some up, but since Peeps are best stale I'll have to wait a while before I can decorate them

Fwan, white eggs are best for coloring........

Diane, my eggs are usually ok. Some turn out weird, but for the most part, I just go for the pretty pastel colors.......I"ll post a pic here later when I'm done!

how do i boil eggs
and for how long

can you tell im a begginer?

How do you boil eggs?? Oh boy, you are a beginner! I'm not making fun of you Fwan........I think it's cute........plus it makes me feel so old!!


Well, I just put some water in a big pot, the CAREFULLY put my eggs in it. I turn the heat on low/medium, and when they start to boil softly, I let them cook for maybe 10 minutes. Make sure you take them from the heat, dump out the hot water, and let them sit in cold water for a good hour. Makes them easier to peel! Good luck!

I've just finished mine and am going to put a post of pics I took in Furpages. I had little helpers!! LOL

Lol i knew i had to put water in a pot but i dont know how long for! or how high!
*i think i should have already bought the coloured eggs from the shop today* lol
