I just love the Beatrix Potter series and all the characters. They are just such classic and timeless characters in my opinion and I am so glad that my MIL knows how much I love them as she has been spoiling us (or should I say grandchild #1 to be) with so much Beatrix Potter things...

the latest, which I totally adore is these soft toys. She is planning on getting us the whole series eventually but they are hard to find here in Australia (let alone expensive) so we feel very lucky

from left to right:
Goody Tiptoes, Timmy Tiptoes, Mr Tod, Jeremy Fisher, Peter Rabbit

sorry I couldnt resist sharing.....

I was brought up with Beatrix Potter books, and saved all my old ones so that my daughter could love them too, which she did. They were special to her because she featured in an advertisement for BP mugs and plates, back in the late 70s. when she was only a toddler!

In the 70s and 80s I was writing and producing short TV clips/ads about British products and culture for showing on TV around the world. Faith was often called on to participate - she did the first one when she was only 6 months old! I have a roll of film somewhere with most of them on - it embarrasses her now to think about them!

Those are just precious! A local shop offered stuffed BP toys. I remember I wanted (probably about 10 yrs ago) and stuffed Nutkin Squirrel but DH didn't get it for me. He was the cutest. Nutkin is from the story isn't he?
