Just bought one of those Litter Maid electric litter boxes. My large cat started pooping on the floor by the box. I was a bit puzzled until I started reading info on this website. I put the old litter box next to the new one and so far, I haven't had to remove poop from my floor. I suppose the new box was too small for him, and since he couldn't just come out and say "Hey stupid, the box is too small", he figured he'd find another way to communicate his dislike. Go figure!! LOL!

This is why I say if only we could speak meow...we wouldn't have these problems!

I'm so glad you read the other posts on the forum, and did your homework. Your cat might also be somewhat startled by the motor noise, assuming he's around when the thing whirs into action.

Anyways, bravo on finding the right solution...there is always one, it's just the challenge of trying to find the right one!
