Pilling Baker, sore mouth

How should I go about this? Baker had his dental and has a sore mouth.

He needs his Amoxil 2X a day for 7 days.

I am worried about pilling him as I don't want to make his mouth even more sore. Also I'm sure he is going to fight this since his mouth does hurt.

Should I just do it and get it done in a Kitty Burito? I am ok with pilling him, have done it many times before, just never with a sore mouth.

Is there any gentle way I can pill him (I don't have a pill gun and can't get one till Monday now b/c of the holiday)?

Merlin had no problems with a sore mouth after his dental. All he had was a teeth cleaning, though. I don't know if your Baker had more done. You're going to have to do it one way or another, and honestly, I can't think of an easy way of giving pills. I always ask for liquids, myself.

What about the liquid? Seems like that would be easier than a pill. Or you can use a pill gun and shoot it down his throat
