Today we ran out of money for the month so we decided to bring back the DVB-T back to mediamarkt!
Today and untill saturday AOL! is giving out a 150 euro credit ( you can be any age ) because they need more customers and you only pay 10 euros for 11 months!
IT was too good to be true! but when i applied even I got it!!!
I cant get a normal credit because of my consulate status.

The tv is huge!!!! and we got a video recorder ohh im so happy you dont understand!
everything is going so well.
we finished off our debts, teufel is going to be neutered!
We got a tv and we are getting a car! whohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try a gas station for batteries, or a tobacco kiosk at the biggest train station in your area. Doesn't the set have little "-" & "+" or "<" & ">" buttons to change channels (provided you find your cable)? We got a new set a few months ago, and my first reaction when I saw it (after my husband bought it and set it up) was to complain that you couldn't change channels without a remote control, as there was nothing in the operating instructions. It turned out that there was a little "touch screen panel" right above the screen, where you can change channels and adjust the volume.
Most people in our area have cable. We pay €15.35 a month for basic cable, meaning 32 channels, for two "housing units" (our half of the house, and our tenants' half).

Then why do we have to pay 16 euros a month for Tv and radio? is that a tv license or is that cable?

That's the TV/radio license. You have to pay that regardless of whether you have an antenna, satellite dish, or cable (yes, that's highway robbery).

I'd never have thought of that! Did you find the antenna cable? What stations can you get - ARD, ZDF, and Drittes Programm are standard, but in some areas you can also receive at least RTL and Sat 1 with just an antenna.

Wow - that's a lot. Maybe it's not worthwhile even getting a satellite dish, then.

So Fran, what was the first thing you watched on your new TV?

Congrats on everything- things seem to be really looking up for you!
