Hello,

I have a question about coats. Lola's coat is "normal", which is to say that during bathtime, if I pour water on her she gets soaked. Sammy on the other hand seems to have a water resistant coat...it takes more water to get him wet and he's never as wet as Lola. It's like his top coat defies water. I'm wondering if anyone else has a cat like this. Also, does anyone know what the genetics for this trait are? (Sammy and Lola have the same mum and I'm trying to figure out what the chances are that their sires were the same as well).

i don't know about your situation, but i can offer my example. my car marsh gets soaked immidiately after we dunk him. he has very thin, long, silky coat.
