I thought i'd share my trip to this car safari with everyone.
It's really big with large areas divided into continents. It's very beautiful, and i love it for the fact that you can drive your car among all the animals (as you'll see)
I was behind the wheel and all the pictures here came from my camera. the speed is less than 5mph, and you stop frequently to see an animal you particularly like. we had our sunroof and windows open. there are about 150 pictures in all
I must say they strongly prohibit feeding animals, but we've been there many times and know that if you bring a little bit of bread the animals will approach the car - which is almost more fun than just staring out the window.
... it's expensive, about $35/person but very worth it.
the monkeys are now locked behind a wire fence, which is extremely inhumane!
they used to be able to run around all cars, grabbing food, bananas, swinging from wire antennas and having fun. they must have recieved complaints, hence the lock-up. I left a strong compaint with thier office and also wrote a letter, i was so angry
before, you used to drive through and momma's with babies would climb on the hoods of the cars and relax while babies would rampage through the cabins - it was great
these are from teh six flags park itself
