My cat Ally has the sniffles. She has a bad URI when I got her from the humane society 3 years ago. She has been sneezing a bit and clearing out her nostrils. She other wise is acting healthy as can be. She eats, plays like crazy and is drinking her water like she does straight out of the faucet.
She is not running a fever and no discharge is present that I can see.
Is she going to be ok? My other cat Kiki is fine so she has not caught it yet!
Any help would be greatly apprecited.

Hiya! Let me share my newfound knowledge on cat flu...provided by my vet because of Imogen. What they originally diagnosed as an URI is now being called cat flu. This is not something I've encountered in the US, but maybe I just had really healthy cats. Here in the UK it is apparently a very common cat ailment. And, once a cat has cat flu it will flare up in times of stress, etc. It is characterized by all the symptoms you described. It is found very often in shelters here. Cat flu should be treated with anitibiotics--and isolation. It is an airborne illness, so even being in the same house is a risk. My vet here says my cat from the US shouldn't come into contact with any UK cats until she's had two rounds of vaccinations against it.

Sooo...I'd keep your other cat away if poss. Hope this ISN'T what your cat has as it sounds like a chronic pain!

My cats all have a cold at the moment, so yes, it is EXTREMELY transmittible! And mine do not go outside, so the only reason it could have been brought on was by stress, I guess.
The only thing I suggest is to keep a good eye on the eating habits - one of mine stopped, and is being force fed at the moment.
Good luck!

Mine are both inside too. Ally is eating well and drinking a lot of water. She is also playing like crazy and her usual wild self. The sneezing just scares me and I do notice a clear discharge from her nose today. I called the vet here and she said it may be allergies. This is her 1st wisconsin spring as I relocated her from florida last may. I have an appointment set up for tommorrow incase she is not getting any better. She is only sneezing like 10 times in a row every 3 hours or so more when she wakes up from a nap.
Thanks for the heads up.

It sounds like a mild URI to me, but, I'm not sure. I'll look it up, and get back to you.

This is off the subject, but........

It looks like in your picture Ally is two-toned (eyes).
If the answer to the above is yes, what colors are her eyes?
How old is she?

My CJ is two-toned. She has one green, and one blue, that has a little green on the edge. CJ looks just like her, too, in color, and in body stance. How ironic! LOL! I live in Florida, too... you said that you just relocated her from Florida. She has a sister I found a home for... you didn't happen to get her from a Chevy Center employee in Central Florida, did you? LOL!

Thats what i think she either has a URI (real mild) or allergies. We have a lot more pollen here in Wisconsin than Florida. I have an appointment tommorrow at the vet incase she gets worse.
Ally has 1 gold eye and 1 blue eye. She was adopted from broward county humane society in FT lauderdale. She was 8 months old and pregnant and supposably deaf.
She just was so sick that her ears were clogged. She is health as can be.
I call her my little spider man because she loves to hang from her cat tree and also do pullups on the stair railing. She is also wild and playful 24/7!
There is another odd eyed white cat here on this board. His name is Sammy and his owners cat site name is snosrap5. They are in central florida I believe. maybe thats cjs brother? It was nice meeting you!!!
Here are allys pics
