Since my dad gave us his old coffee machine because he thought it was broken when it wasnt, Ben has been drinking heaps of coffee.

Our desks are right next to each other only seperated by the printer, but yet we cant read what we write on the net.

But why does he put his empty coffee cups and plates on my desk? instead of the sink???????????

Does your living person, bf, hubby, fiance or child do this?

Pfffttt my husband was an expert at it!. He would have a can of beer, finish it, and leave it on the kitchen unit, but bearing in mind the waste bin was only 4 feet away!

Am i pleased i havent got that to put up with anymore!

WOW!
I guess I should feel pretty lucky to have the roommate I do! He replaces the TP when I forget, he vacs, does his own laundry (but doesn't fold it - I don't care as long as it's confined to his room) always takes out the trash, and sometimes he even cooks for us both!!!! Thank God for small favors, I suppose. . .

It doesn't matter how many organizational spaces I have for my husband, he thinks that he needs to store everything out in the open, usually where it lands. Laundry all over the bedroom, papers all over the kitchen, water jugs everywhere.

I gave him a full drawer in our desk to store his papers. One time when company was expected, I grabbed a bunch of his stuff lying on the kitchen counter and shoved it into the drawer, including a pair of socks that were up there. 1 year later I opened the drawer and found his socks in the drawer. Just told me that he doesn't bother to ever use the spaces I reserve for him.

It's maddening sometimes!!!!

I could go on for days about the stuff that he leaves laying around the house. He's a packrat on top of being the clutter-bug. After 15 years of marriage, I finally figured out that if I could just eliminate the stuff in the house, it wouldn't lay around it. So I talked him into selling our stuff on e-bay and things are getting easier. I sold $350 worth of kitchen stuff which inspired him to start selling his books (they are out on e-bay right now). He's so excited by it that I think he'll continue with a bit of encouragement from me.

I have tools lying on my kitchen table, kitchen counters, living room floor, computer room. Dirty dishes are usually set on the counter (above the dishwasher) or in the sink. I've offered to give classes on how to open the dishwasher but have had no takers.

Now, having said that - I am never required to take out the garbage, change my tires from summer to winter, change the oil in my car, fix my brakes on my car or any outside garden work (with the exception of choosing and planting the annual flowers). My husband is not a lazy man and is always busy doing something, or fixing something. All the neighbour ladies ask if they can borrow him so I guess I really have nothing to complain about.

If I don't feel like cooking, he will find something to eat for himself and never make me feel guilty or make a fuss.

It could be worse!

Thank the Lord my only housemates are an 8 year old girl, and 6 cats of varying ages.

The cats only leave toys laying around, which doesn't bother me at all. My daughter knows better than to leave stuff laying around. And re: cups, I've embedded it into her head that she cleans up after herself and I'm not her maid. So I have no worries.

Isn't it funny though that the cats can leave their toys out all over the place, kick litter out the box everyday, drop kibbles on the floor when eating them, leave fur all over the place, and we don't complain!

Yeah, but I think we cut them some slack due to their lack of opposable thumbs!!!

i like to clean sort of so most stuff doesn't bother me, but i hate half empty soda cans, especially because my bf is currently trying to quit smoking and has started rubbing snuff for the transition so I never know if it's just pop in the can or not. it is so disgusting when i pour it out and it's a mix of chewed snuff and coke, especially when i forget myself and pour it in the sink rather than the toilet.. Ugh. But I figure if that's the worst than it isn't so bad.. i have weird habits too.

My son kept leaving empty juice packs on the living room floor so I told him if I saw another one I would spank him.

Well, last night, I happend to pull the coach out and found.........are you ready for this..........15 empty juice packs back there. He also had 3 empty water bottles and 2 paper plates!

I left it alone and let hubby deal with it. My son told him that I said, " I don't want to see any more juice packs on the floor!"

I guess next time, I have to say, "put it in the trach can!"
