Yup, but only if you hold my hand while I find a dentist/make an appointment. I really need to go but I'm scared!

Ari, in all seriousness, I hadn't been to the dentist in more years that I can admit.....but finally went last October. Yep, I was scared stiff but found out it wasn't as bad as I thought. Look at MA's link she posted earlier in this thread. It will help you, truly. There are dentists out there that genuinly care Hon. Please do it and let me know when it is......

Am I scared to go tomorrow......
Will I be glad when it's over??......
But I'm glad that I finally started going and facing my fears.......facing them is half the battle!

You are in my thoughts & prayers. I will worry at 8am for you. Panic, fear, pain, suffering... all of this because of someone poking and prodding the mouth!

I fear dentists more than I fear lawyers! You are not alone!

I'm looking for a dentist but I can't figure out how to find one! Lol! How do I figure out what my dental plan will cover?

I think my fear is less of pain and more that I'll need too much dental work done than I can afford, you know? I feel like at least one of my sealants (spelling?) might have come off... and what if I have a cavity? What if I need a ton of work and I can't afford it?!

You're going to do great at the dentist!

Well Ari, first of all, ask all around to people you know if they like their dentist, etc. Referrals are always a good idea. Then call your insurance provider and ask what your dental insurance covers. Be happy you have it. I don't.

It's usually not as bad as you think but even if you need a ton of work, most dentists will set up payment plans. There's always a way to work it out.

Well I finally figured out which dental plan I have... weird that I don't have a card like I do for my health insurance. But no one I know has a dentist.

Sorry you don't have dental insurance... yikes.

I know, that's what I think too! YIKES!!

Well, if no one you know has a dentist, then I'd suggest finding a few around you and calling them, telling them your fears and apprehensions, and kind of "interview them" I did that until my husband convinced me his dentist was great.
