My bf came home today and said IT SMELLS LIKE CAT!
since ive been home the whole day i havent smelled any off odours
so i questioned him asking him "what does a cat smell like" and he said a really strong weird cat smell.
From what i have presumed is that teufel has started spraying because now the top hallway of our appartment smells like cat... the way he described.
Teufel is getting spayed in the first two weeks of april.

But can it be that teufel only sprays in the litter box? Because I clean it every week and wash it but bf says that the smell comes from the bathroom.

My mom said last time she visited my apt. that it "smelled like cat." I have 2 girls (no spraying), so I guess she was referring to the litter boxes, even though 1 was brand-new and the other was recently cleaned.
Have you ever gone into another pet owner's home and been able to smell their pets, even though they couldn't? It's probably the same thing in all of our homes; since we're there all the time, we do not notice the smells that inevitably come with pet ownership.

Only on the hallway in the apparment block, and i thought that was from the fat cat downstairs!

I really can't say that any place smells "catty", as opposed to "doggy", unless there's an uncastrated male cat. That definitely stinks!

I can walk into someone's house (including my own) and tell there are pets. Just a fact of having pets. Dogs or cats. Same with kids. Aside from seeing the kids running around screaming and toys everywhere, you sort of know people have kids. Just like my house. I cannot go a day without coming home to an accident or two... hairballs puked up here, a furball from a play-fight there, a pee-pee accident in the next room, and then the inevitable "oops it wasn't all the way out I rubbed a turd on the floor Mommy" thing in the living room.

It's sort of a fact of life... if ya want the love of pets, you gotta deal with certain smells & other mishaps!
It's worth it.
