Oh no, Lily voted for me and I don't know what she voted for

If it was me, I'd have voted for not doing anything, but being home with the kids and hubby. Normally we'd cook a nice big Easter dinner but as we have no kitchen...... and the cooker is in the middle of the floor disconnected I guess we won't be doing that

Looks like it's lots of choccie for me then - oh sorrow!

Movin' on up!
I'm waiting to hear from the kids, about their plans. I have Easter goodies, for the twins and want to take them down, next Sunday.

I bought sequined, stuffed bunnies and bunny ponytail holders, as well as Peeps and little chocolate bunnies.

I'm sure that they'll love that!

I went way over board this year. I got my son some bubbles, sidewalk chalk, candy, flash light, bug house and magnifer........you name it, he's getting it.
But, they are only young once, right?

The grocery store is closed for the Holiday, so can actually go to dinner this year! (I really like this job. They're closed for all the major holidays.) Of course, I have to close on Saturday, but oh well.

We have a traditional Slovak Easter dinner at my grandparents house. In case anyone is wondering, that means it's all dishes that were prepared ahead of time, and served cold. One reason is because it needs to be blessed the night before. That's something my grandfather has done every year for 60 years, even though none of the family is religious anymore. The other is because according to tradition, the feast they had on the first Easter Sunday was a slap-dash meal of leftovers, because no one had time to cook (and if I remember correctly, shouldn't cook because it's the Sabbath day).

Of course, the traditional part to us also means we get to go in pjs, jeans, or sweats. No dressing up for any family function! Whoo-hoo!

I plan on spending the rest of my day off with the cats, playing video games and maybe watching a movie.

Loving my beautiful baby girl
I will get off work at 8am Sunday morning. When I get home, Sierra will have her special Easter feast and then get her Easter basket!
We will enjoy the rest of the day relaxing together as we honor this special day!

We usually do the ham dinner at mom's on Sunday but everyone's been craving boiled crawfish so that's Sat. Sunday at my home, I'll cook a ham for hubby, son & I.

You're not alone.........we'll be doing lots of eating too! I guess I'll have to go work in the yard to get some of it off huh?

Well, I don't know how to vote. I'm not going to see family and family's not coming to see me, and I'm not exactly doing nothing. Have Friday off from school, but will be studying for exams on Monday.

Sunday I'll be going to church for my last Easter here :sniff: Our music director always goes all out for Easter morning, and we're doing 2 Messiah pieces with strings this year!!!!

Guess I better stop by the grocery store and pick up a ham steak or something - don't need leftovers to freeze since i'm moving soon.

We dont do a big easter thing, however, I will be playing Easter Bunny to my family - someone has to break out the chocolate! Maybe Ill buy a ham and be self adventurous.
In any case, I like the idea of not going to work tomorrow!

Sunday morning Brendan and I will be heading to his parents for a couple of hours. They don't really celebrate Easter but since he and I were going to be coming into town to go to my parents for Easter dinner, they asked us to stop by. So, we'll be there and then we'll be heading to my parents for the rest of the day. We always have a big dinner and I still always get an Easter basket! That's right, at 22 my mom still does Easter baskets for me!!! And I love it! I hope when I'm 50 I'm STILL getting them!!!
But yeah, that's our Easter. Then it'll be back to Orlando so I can prepare for my 3 exams next week.

well. Easter with my family is almost as big as xmas if not bigger because they are VERY religious. So its a big fancy dinner and gift exchange. So this year we have to go to both of my grandmother's houses who are both have formal dinner and then to my bf's mom's house for another formal dinner. Going to work on Monday will be a relief because Sunday is SO hectic.
