The grocery store is closed for the Holiday, so can actually go to dinner this year! (I really like this job. They're closed for all the major holidays.) Of course, I have to close on Saturday, but oh well.
We have a traditional Slovak Easter dinner at my grandparents house. In case anyone is wondering, that means it's all dishes that were prepared ahead of time, and served cold. One reason is because it needs to be blessed the night before. That's something my grandfather has done every year for 60 years, even though none of the family is religious anymore. The other is because according to tradition, the feast they had on the first Easter Sunday was a slap-dash meal of leftovers, because no one had time to cook (and if I remember correctly, shouldn't cook because it's the Sabbath day).
Of course, the traditional part to us also means we get to go in pjs, jeans, or sweats. No dressing up for any family function! Whoo-hoo!
I plan on spending the rest of my day off with the cats, playing video games and maybe watching a movie.
